Winter is upon us!

Well deck the halls the winter season is here. I know, I know, it's not winter yet however we start to get dark at 4:00 pm and put on heavy coats and it seems that short skirts have gone into hibernation. With that being said, we also have those who look forward to all the fun that our Canadian winter has to offer.
Smowmobiling, skiiing, snow angels, outside hockey games, and here near Ottawa, Canada skating on the Rideau canal, which means lots of family fun and Beavertail with hot chocolate for snacks.
We should also think about road safety with our vehicles and the loved ones we carry in them. All of our Ford products come with the utmost in safety features to, not only protect us in collisions, but also so many features to prevent them.
With ABS brakes and traction control as standard equipment, most of our vehicles use that as a safety equipment starting point. Advance trac stability systems, roll stability control, side airbags and side curtains with "roll fold technology".
It is always a good idea to look at winter tires as well and it is almost too late for some size tires to get them. Hurry if you want some. With the snow we had last year, and the recent laws in Quebec that say residents MUST have them, the demand is higher than the supply. Come make an appointment to get some if you can.

Translations

Apparently I owe all of our francophone friends an apology. I tried to translate my entries into french but I was told I look like an idiot the way I did it. Not the first time I've been told that one LOL. I am starting french lessons tonight so hopefully I can do better when I actually learn something.
The buzz is going around town about the Demolition Derby and we are gonna have a blast. I look forward to seeing you all there. I actually haven't been to one in a long long time so I hope my boy and I have a really good time.
Thanksgiving is this weekend so we have given the staff the entire weekend off to spend time with our families. Nothing more import than that!
The NHL pre-season is over and the Sens are already in second place in the east. Probably won't take the Habs long to catch up or even pass them. They look like a very strong team this year.
I actually look forward to some of the nostalgic jerseys they will wear this year in their 100th anniversarry. I wasn't around for them all when they were new so get that thought out of your mind.
As the season starts and I look forward to watching some games, one very important thing comes to mind.
I'd rather a bottle in front of me than a frontal labotomy. Haha

Ford Sale In Full Swing

Well the Ford 6 day Selloff Sale is already working well. We helped more people into the vehicle of their choice since the weekend and made more friends in the process. Today we got a few new 2009 cars in from Ford and one of them was sold within a few minutes of being taken off the transport truck. A new 2009 Ford Fusion (man those are nice cars) didn't even make it into the shop before it caught the eye and imagination of one customer. The deal was made and the customer happy before we could even clean it up from the transport. I'm sure that couple will be very pleased with their new ride. Come on in and see the new lineup we have to offer you. The new ones are awesome and the deals on 2008's and pre-owned are incredible this week.
On another topic; it's pictures this week for all three kids. Grayson and Meagan were really looking forward to getting spiffed up but the older one (13 year old who doesn't want me to mention her name) could care less. Teenagers UGH!!. Oh well, we love her just the same.
The NHL hockey camps are all fully under way and All my friends are excited about the new season ahead. The Sens look pretty good with new faces. The Habs look good too with Carey Price being in great shape to start in nets. The Leafs, well; at least they have nice clean jerseys ; ) Edmonton looks to be one of the most improved teams this year but that's on paper. The Flames look strong, Vancouver still solid. Looks like an exciting Fall season on the ice and here at Rockland Ford as well. Hope to see you here soon.

Weekend almost here

Thursday night and we had a great day! Only Friday to go then the weekend is upon us. Saturday looks like its gonna be nice so we look forward to seeing you here. Today we helped a few people into their new vehicles. A very nice young man brought his parents in to see me and they bought our 2005 Hummer H2 from us. Man are they happy. Now we have a 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser to sell instead. You gotta see this one. You like to go camping or skiing or sledding in the winter. This is the one for you!!!. For the numerous folks that came in to look at the H2,,,,,,,,,,Sorry about that ; ( Grayson, my 4yr old, starts Beavers tonight and MAN does he look cute in his little outfit. Thanks Mary and John for the uniform. It looks great on him. Meagan is taking ballroom dancing lessons and says that I can't be her dance partner because (get this one) I'm too tall and she needs someone closer to her own height. I think maybe I'm just a little "too much her step dad" to be her dance partner. Any , not so cute, guys around eleven or twelve wanna learn to ballroom dance. I'll be the one taking appications for that one.

Great Weekend

It was a great weekend. The rain held off (around here anyway) for Saturday and it made for a busy day here at Rockland Ford. We helped more than a few customers with their vehicle needs and booked a few appointments for our special private sale event this week. The only thing is that left us less time for horsing around lol ;) Thank you to all the customers that came in and thank you to my lovely wife and children that dropped in to share some of the delicious apples they had just picked at a local apple orchard. My customers thought it was adorable that Grayson (my handsome 4 yr old son) was sharing the "fruit of his labour" with everyone he saw here. They were delicious. We look forward to seeing all of our weekend customers back soon and of course look forward to seeing you here as well.
